Mint® Moments – March

March Edition

March signals movement – longer days, renewed energy and momentum building across teams. Fittingly, the first successful telephone call by Alexander Graham Bell happened in March 1876. A reminder that connection drives progress, whether between people, ideas or technology.

Mint® Moments - March

This month we’re putting security in the spotlight - not to alarm but to empower. With so much change happening across the digital landscape, it’s a great moment to pause, sense-check and make sure the foundations are as strong as they should be.

As always, our role is to make the complex feel manageable. Whether it’s guidance, a quick review or just a conversation, Mint® is here to support you every step of the way - so you can focus on what you do best, with confidence.

  • You may recall we touched on Field Audit Trail in last month’s edition, but with security taking centre stage this March, it felt worth revisiting because its value goes far beyond compliance.

Within Salesforce®, this capability provides a scalable way to track, retain and review historical data changes, giving organisations a clear, time-stamped record of who changed what and when. For teams operating in complex or regulated environments, that level of transparency is more than helpful – it’s essential.

Beyond governance, it strengthens confidence in reporting and decision-making, ensuring your data story is both accurate and accountable. In today’s landscape, security isn’t just about controlling access; it’s about visibility and trust. And that’s exactly where Field Audit Trail continues to prove its quiet but powerful impact.

If greater visibility sounds valuable, reach out to support@mintcrm.co.uk and we’ll help you get started.

  • Why We’re Talking Security This Month

Normally, this section is where we spotlight a client case study – a chance to showcase the great outcomes achieved through collaboration and smart strategy. However, given the current climate and the increased focus on data protection, we felt it was more important to pause and highlight a timely lesson in security.

Our latest article explores the real-world implications of the recent Odido breach, where attackers used phishing and social engineering to access a Salesforce® environment, exposing millions of customer records. It’s a powerful reminder that strong technology must be matched with strong governance, awareness, and proactive controls.

The piece breaks down what happened, the key takeaways and the practical steps organisations can take now to reduce risk and strengthen resilience. Read the full article here

  • Many customers will have seen recent communications from Salesforce® regarding mandatory email domain verification, an important step designed to strengthen platform-wide email security.

Starting with the Spring ’26 rollout, emails sent from unverified domains will no longer be delivered. Organisations must verify any domains used for sending emails directly from Salesforce, with key deadlines falling between March and April 2026 depending on environment type.

The change is part of a broader move to protect against spoofing and ensure greater trust in outbound communications. While it may require some administrative action, it ultimately reduces risk and improves deliverability – a win for both security and customer confidence.

If you’re unsure whether your domains are verified, now is the ideal time to review and confirm your setup to avoid disruption. If you are unsure where to start reach out to support@mintcrm.co.uk and we’ll help you navigate through this.

  • Strengthening Your Security Foundations

With security in mind, it’s the perfect time to step back and review the fundamentals that keep your Salesforce® environment safe, resilient and trusted. While recent updates around email domain verification are important, they also serve as a helpful reminder that strong security is built on a series of consistent, proactive habits.

A quick security check today can prevent bigger issues tomorrow from safeguarding data to ensuring the right people have the right access at the right time.

    Quick Security Checklist

    1. Review User Access – Regularly audit profiles, permission sets and inactive users.
    2. Enable and Monitor MFA – Confirm multi-factor authentication is enforced and adoption is high.
    3. Verify Sending Domains – Ensure all outbound email domains are validated to protect deliverability and trust.
    4. Audit Integrations & Connected Apps – Remove anything unused and confirm security policies are up to date.
    5. Monitor Activity & Alerts – Use reports and logs to spot unusual behaviour early.

Taking these steps helps create a layered security approach – reducing risk, improving compliance, and giving your teams confidence that your CRM is protected as your business evolves.
